The aim of the Business Development and Partnership teams is to provide Shopee’s buyers with a wide variety of product listings at the best prices.
Job Description:
- Manage working capital and inventory in support of the development and growth of SBS, the company’s warehousing and fulfillment services
- Make Shopee the destination of choice for customers by offering a wide variety and assortment of products on the platform
- Drive portfolio management to provide the best offers for customers by setting promos/ deals/ campaigns to achieve target sales and profits
- Secure new brands/ products while optimizing product purchase and inventory to drive high sell-through
- Expand and manage a purchase strategy with the brands to ensure the best selection along with optimal cost and service
- Possess in-depth knowledge of vendors and how to negotiate, engage and solicit support
- Develop awareness of and insights from short- and long-term market trends and the competition, how they impact the business, and respond accordingly
- Implement industry best practices
Requirements:
- Possesses Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Management or any relevant study
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in FMCG/Electronics purchasing or buying
- E-commerce, FMCG and retail background is preferred
- Good analytical skills in tracking sell through gross margin, offer constructs, and inventory
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Amenable to work in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig
- Flexible to work long hours on occasion
